The Bonecrusher is a unique item that automatically buries the bones of anything you kill, while it is in your inventory. Every bone it buries will reward the player with 1.5x the experience of normally burying that type of bone.
All though most monsters only drop regular bones, which offer minimal experience, it is very handy to bring this item along as it can avoid fill the floor of items, making it easier to see the main drops.
The Bonecrusher can be used in combination with the Split Dragontooth, or Demon Horn Necklaces. These necklaces restore a small amount of Prayer points everytime a bone is buried. So if you are using prayer to fight your enimies, you can use this combination to save on prayer potions.
Tasks
The Bonecrusher is also very useful for completing the three tasks that require you to bury bones:
- Grave Digger - Completed by burying 500 of any type of bone.
- Grave Master - Completed by burying 1,000 of any type of bone.
- Spray and Pray - Completed by burying 500 Dragon Bones after reaching level 99 in the Prayer skill.
