Introduction

Clue scrolls are a random drop from some NPC's and are great fun to complete. They will take you on an adventure all over the server and will help you meet new people and make new friends along the way.

How to Obtain

Clue scrolls are obtained by killing certain NPC's. They are a random drop and aren't dropped to frequently. Here is a list of what NPC's drop which Clue scroll.

Easy: Al Kharid Warrior, Banshee, Cave Bug, Goblin, Man, Icefiend, Woman, Thief, Rock Crabs;

Medium: Basilisk, Cockatrice, Dagannoth, Giant Rock Crab, Guard, Ice Giant, Ice Warrior (Wild - More Common), Jogre, Paladin, Pyrefiend, Rock Lobster, Skeletons, Vampyre, Werewolf,

Hard: Abyssal Demon, Aberrant spectre, Aquanite, Black Dragon, Blue Dragon, Bronze Dragon, Chaos Elemental (More Common), Commander Zilyana, Corporeal Beast, Dagannoth Prime, Dagannoth Rex, Dagannoth Supreme, Fire Giant, Frost Dragons, Gargoyle, General Graardor, K'ril Tsutsaroth, Kalphite Queen, King Black Dragon, Kree'arra, Kurask, Mithril Dragon, Nechryael, Red Dragon, Revenant Dragon, Revenant Hellhound, Saradomin Priest, Spiritual Mage, Steel Dragon, Tormented Demon, Turoth, Sea Troll Queen, Mutant Tarn, Ice Queen, Untouchable, Black Knight Titan

Clue Types

There are 5 different types of tasks that the Clue scroll could give you. These include:

Anagrams

An Anagram clue will show you a jumbled up word, which when unjumbled will tell you the name of a NPC to take the clue to.

Maps

A Map clue shows you an image of an area, you will have to find the area and then either dig, or search the crate in the spot you are locating.

Puzzles

A Slider puzzle is solved by moving around all the tiles until it creates an image.

A Puzzle Solver Package is available at the vote store, you can use the Package once to solve your current slider puzzle.

Cryptic Clue

A Cryptic clue will show you a riddle, which once solved will tell you where you need to go.

Scans

Scan clues tell you which are you need to be in, once there you need to roam around the area clicking the 'scan' option on the clue scroll. Once you are near enough to where the dig spot is, you will see an arrow that tells you where to dig.

Emote Tasks

Emote clues require you to wear certain items, and do certain emotes at an area in-game. For Hard and Elite Clue Scrolls you will be attacked by a Double Agent upon completing this step.

Once you complete one task you will gain another Scroll which will give you your next clue. This will continue until you get a Casket.

Rewards

The rewards from the Clue scrolls vary from simple items such as Mithril and Talismans to God Pages and God Bows. The harder the clue scroll the more chance of getting a rare reward. Below is a list on which items you can get.

Easy Scroll Rewards

Easy Clue Scrolls will reward a player with 25 participation points and a random selection of 2-6 rewards shown below.

Medium Scroll Rewards

Medium Clue Scrolls will reward a player with 50 participation points and a random selection of 2-6 rewards shown below.

Hard Scroll Rewards

Hard Clue Scrolls will reward a player with 75 participation points and a random selection of 2-6 rewards shown below.

Elite Scroll Rewards

Elite Clue Scrolls will reward a player with 150 participation points and a random selection of 2-6 rewards shown below.

Re-Rolls

Re-rolls are obtained via a 5 voting streak. If you don't like what you see from your casket then you can click the Re-roll button and have a second chance. Keep in mind that it might not get any better.

Titles

There are 4 titles that you can obtain from completing Clue scrolls. You can access these by clicking the Quest tab then clicking "Help Desk" and scrolling down to "Configure Title".

The first one you must complete 10 Elite scrolls to unlock. This one is called "Pioneer"

The second one you must complete 50 Clue scrolls to unlock. This one is called "Treasure Hunter"

The third one you must complete 75 Clue scrolls to unlock. This one is called "Black Beard"

The fourth one you must complete 100 Clue Scrolls to unlock. This one is called "Pirate"

Notes

You can have multiple clue scrolls of same difficulty on your account, however they all will show the same task and you can only complete one at a time, In case you want to get rid of a task, you should delete a clue scroll and the others will have a brand new task set.

There are over 145 tasks with up to 300 different locations to be explored. Ring of wealth and luck effect from the health totem both work on raising your chances with a Clue scroll drop but do not affect the loot you get.
