Coins (also referred to as gold pieces, gp, gold, or simply money) are the most common form of currency in Old School RuneScape. They can be used to represent the value of virtually every single tradeable item in the game.

When you examine a pile of Coins, the text reads "____ x Coins", where the blank is the exact number of coins in the stack.

Players often refer to one thousand (1,000) coins as 1k and one million (1,000,000) coins as 1m, and 1b for one billion coins (1,000,000,000).

Obtaining Coins

You can gain Coins by doing almost anything in the server. Skilling, PvMing, and PvPing can all result in you gaining Coins, as such Coins are fairly easy to come by, however it is usually in small amounts.

Money Pouch

When a player earns/picks up Coins, they will go directly into the players money pouch. This pouch allows players to store much more money than they usually could, as a player can only hold 2,147,483,647 (2.1B) gp in their inventory.

The amount players can store depends on their donator rank, and if they have increased their money pouch limit from the Premium store's feature section. It costs 5,000 premium points to expand the limit by 2.5b. You can purchase this feature four times for a total limit increase of 10b gp.
