An Antifire potion provides slight immunity to a dragon's breath. When used in conjunction with an Anti-dragon shield or Dragonfire shield, it will provide complete immunity against dragon fire for six minutes. It can be made by a player with 69 Herblore by mixing a Clean lantadyme and then Dragon scale dust in a Vial of water, which grants 785 Herblore experience.
Upon consuming the potion, a timer will appear in the bottom right corner of the game screen. This shows the player how long the potions effect will last. Players will also get a warning in their chatbox when the potion's effect has 30 seconds left: "Your resistance to dragonfire is about to run out." Then they will get another message when it has worn off: "Your resistance to dragon fire has run out."
Players should remember that an antifire potion alone will not fully protect them from dragonfire. The potion's protection is so slight that, when used alone, even a single dragon can cause extensive damage to the player from its breath. Only when the potion is combined with the Anti-dragon shield or Dragonfire shield will players be completely immune to dragonfire.
Using a Phoenix feather on an Antifire potion (3) will turn it into a Super antifire potion.
