Main page/Guides/Ironman & Hardcore/Skilling Guides/ Hitpoints
This is the Ironman/ Hardcore Ironman Hitpoints Guide, the guide for regular players is found Here.
Hitpoints represents a player's health. If it reaches 0, the player will die. Therefore Hitpoints is a very important skill. The higher you get your Hitpoints level up, the more damage you will be able to take whilst fighting monsters. Gaining experience in Hitpoints is very easy as it will automatically happen while you train your other combat skills.

Death
Ironman
If your Hitpoints reach 0 you will die and find yourself in edgeville. All but 3 of the items you carried will be dropped to the floor where you died, so if you had anything important on you, hurry back before it disappears. However, if you are skulled then you will drop all items you carry.
Harcore Ironman
The punishment for dying on hardcore ironman is much less forgiving. If you die on this mode, not only will you lose the items that you carry, but all account progress will be reset, this includes:
- Items in your inventory
- Items in your bank
- Items you are wearing
- Items from your collection box
- Tasks/Task points
- All Experience gained
- Chief Thief Robins training progress will be reset
