Runecrafting is a skill that allows players to craft their own runes for Magic spells. The experience earned from making runes is small, making Runecrafting a very slow skill to train. It is very click intensive.

Getting the Supplies

In order to craft Runes, you require Rune Essence, the only ways of obtaining this is by buying it from the Runecrafting Store or by getting it as a drop from NPC's. (Fire giants can drop 100 noted Rune Essence at a time.) To get to the Runecrafting Store, First you will need to teleport to South Neitznot

Once there, head into the building to the north of the bank, and trade Cassie. You want to buy either Rune Essence or Pure Essence, at the moment they do exactly the same thing so rune essence is better off as it is slightly cheaper.

While buying essence, buy yourself a talisman of the rune you will be making. You should also make yourself a tiara. When you are at the Runecrafting altar use the tiara on it and it will be enchanted.
While wearing an enchanted tiara you will gain 10% more runecrafting xp for the corresponding rune.

Training Runecrafting

After you have bought an adequate amount of either essence (you will need around 22k for level 99.) Its time to start Runecrafting. Teleport to South Neitiznot using your Neitiznot teleports.

The next step is to talk to the Mage of Zamorak who is close to where you teleport in. Once you have found the Mage of Zamorak, you will have the option to teleport to different Runecrafting altars to turn essence into runes. If you're just going for level 99 in the skill- crafting Air runes gives the most experience at all levels.

To train Runecrafting even faster, hold down CTRL and click on the Essence in your bank to withdraw a full inventory with one click.

Experience Table

Useful Items and Boosts

N/A	Knowledge Totem	All experience gained will be increased for the next 10 minutes for normal donators and 20 minutes for super donators.	Go to the Donator Zone, in the building to the west of the bank and click on the Defence Totem(Knowledge effect).
N/A	Bonus Experience	All experience gained will be multiplied by 3 until the bonus experience runs out.	Logging in everyday grants 200k Bonus Exp. Every 10th vote streak rewards you with 500k Bonus Exp. Purchace 1m Bonus Exp for 5k premium points.
N/A	Monthly Bonus	All experience gained is multiplied by 1.25	Play during the 1st to the 5th of every month.
	Enchanted Tiaras	Grants a 10% boost to Runerafting experience if the enchantment is the same as the rune you are making	Use a normal tiara and the corresponding talisman on a Runecrafting altar of your choice.

The Skill Cape

If you reach level 99 in Runecrafting, you can talk to the Wise Old Man at home to obtain the Skill cape. He is located at home, in the building north of the bank.

The 99 cape costs 150K Gp and comes with a matching hood. Both the Runecrafting cape and hood give +9 bonus to all defense stats.

If you reach 350m experience in the Runecrafting skill you will also unlock the ability to buy the Master Runecrafting Cape. It is exactly the same as the normal Skill cape. However, you can adjust the trim colour to whatever you like. This cape costs 2.5m Gp.
