Firemaking is a skill used to light fires. It is the companion skill of Woodcutting. At the moment firemaking is almost useless as there are no real benefits to leveling it up.

Getting the Supplies

To train Firemaking all you need is a tinderbox and the logs that you are lighting.

• You can get your tinderbox at the Edgeville General Store for 1gp

Guide to Leveling

Lighting fires is very simple. All you need to do is click on the tinderbox and then click on the log that you want to burn, you may also click the log first and then the tinderbox, that really doesn't matter.

• Players can also gain experience from using an Inferno Adze while woodcutting. When using the Adze, players have a 1/3 chance of gaining burning experience for the type of log they are cutting.

Tips

• Find an area close to a bank with a large empty space so you can light fires without having to walk around obstacles. An example of a good place to train is the Grand Exchange.
• Having your inventory set up as the picture shown below will require less movement when clicking on each log

Useful Items and Boosts

N/A	Knowledge Totem	All experience gained will be increased for the next 10 minutes for normal donators and 20 minutes for super donators.	Go to the Donator Zone, in the building to the west of the bank and click on the Defence Totem(Knowledge effect).
N/A	Bonus Experience	All experience gained will be multiplied by 3 until the bonus experience runs out.	Logging in everyday grants 200k Bonus Exp. Every 10th vote streak rewards you with 500k Bonus Exp. Purchace 1m Bonus Exp for 5k premium points.
N/A	Monthly Bonus	All experience gained is multiplied by 1.25	Play during the 1st to the 5th of every month.
	Brawling Gloves (Fm)	Doubles all woodcutting experience gained.	Dropped by all Revenants. Recieved as a Voting Sortation Reward.
	Inferno Adze	Has a 1/3 chance of granting Firemaking experience while chopping trees.	Bought from the Skilling shop at Edgevile.

The Skill Cape

If you reach level 99 in Firemaking, you can talk to the Wise Old Man at home to obtain the Skill cape. He is located at home, in the building north of the bank.

The 99 cape costs 150K Gp and comes with a matching hood. Both the Firemkaing cape and hood give +9 bonus to all defense stats.

If you reach 350m experience in the Firemaking skill you will also unlock the ability to buy the Master Firemaking Cape. It is exactly the same as the normal Skill cape. However, you can adjust the trim colour to whatever you like. This cape costs 2.5m Gp.
