Introduction

Smithing is the art of turning metal bars into armour or weapons. As you gain a higher smithing level, you are able to make higher-level armour and weaponry. If you achieve a high smithing level, you may never have to buy armour again.

This guide will teach you some of the best and fastest methods of reaching 99 smithing, and even teach you how to make some money on the way there.

How to Start

Your best bet is to use the Neitiznot teleport in your Map Teleport, and go to "North Neitiznot". Once there, talk to "Miner Magnus" to buy a pickaxe and a hammer.

Getting 99

Fastest Way to 99

The fastest way to 99 smithing is smithing bars into coins after having made them. This will give you XP for both making the bar, and smithing it to coins (You will need a hammer for this).

• Non Donators will have to either buy Rune ore from other players, venture out into the wilderness for some, or keep smithing Adamant bars until 99. This will take longer, but make you more profit.

Notes

Using the Knowledge pool (Yellow pool) located in Donator zone 1 will double the xp gained for a set time.

Congratulations on achieving 99 Smithing! It was a long road and you deserve your smithing skillcape!

Teleport to Draynor, and look in the Book Shop, in which the Wise Old Man will be walking about.

Trade him and you will be able to receive your smithing skill cape!
