Introduction
A Middleman, like everyone, is a member of the community. The only difference to most other Etherum players is that he or she has been deemed trustworthy by staff.
What do middlemen do?
The purpose every Middleman serves is to assist players of the community in RSGP transactions. They make sure that no scams occur, and that everything goes smoothly during the trade. It is highly suggested that a Middleman is used for every RSGP transaction done.
Example
You are buying RSGP. You would give the trusted MM your Etherum items, while your trade partner gives you the RSGP in Runescape. After both of you confirm the transaction to the MM, he will hand the seller your Etherum items. The trade went off without a hitch, and you were never in danger of getting scammed.
Some Reminders
- Just because someone is a donator does not mean he is a trusted middleman.
- Not all dicers are trusted middlemen. Just because they have a dice next to their name, does not make them trusted by default.
- In-Game staff are 100% trustworthy, and are allowed to be used as a Middleman. They also can, transfer items from one account to another for you.
How do I find a middleman?
There is two ways of finding a Middleman. Firstly check the Official Middleman List on the forums, and see if one is online In-Game. Or type ::checkmms
- Many middlemen also have yell abilities, and have their titles set to something along the lines of "MM" or "Middleman", so you can ask one of them.
- Remember to always check with the list to make sure the person claiming to be a middleman truly is one.
How do I become a middleman?
If you think you're ready to become an Official Middleman, you can make an application via forums.
