The Flameburst Defender is a highly sought after piece of off-hand equipment, as it is part of the max melee set. There are two different versions of the Flameburst Defender, which both have the same stats. These two versions are bound, and unbound, the only way to tell which is which is by looking for the '(b)' at the end of the name for the bound version.
Even with the higher stats, the bound Flameburst Defender is only slightly more accurate when comparing with the Dragon Defender.
Obtaining the Flameburst Defender
Unbound
The Unbound version of the Flameburst Defender can be bought from the Pkp shop in Edgeville for 5k Pkp.
Bound
The Bound version of the Flameburst Defender can be obtained as a rare drop when killing the Chaos Elemental. However, this boss is located in the very deep Wilderness and Pk'ers may show up to kill you. So only bring what you can afford to lose.
