Basic Information
- General Graador is a level 624 Bandos General.
- He uses Melee and occasionally ranged fight his opponents. His melee attacks will only affect one person, while his ranged attacks will effect everyone in the boss room.
- He has a max hit of 64 with melee, and 30 with ranged, making it highly suggested that you use protect from melee at all costs, due to the fact that most of his hits in his short period of living between respawns, are melee.
- Players can use Melee, Ranged or Magic against the General. But I strongly recommend you use Melee against him, because melee will deal the most damage per second. (DPS)

Inventory setup
Inventory setup isn't particularly important for General Graardor because you can literally bank after every kill and get back before he respawns. If you don't want to keep banking, though, here are some setups to use:
Maxed setup
Requirements:
- Statius, Vesta, or Torva Armor
- Abyssal Vine Whip or Chaotic Rapier
- 67+ Summoning
- 70+ Herblore
With maxed gear and a Bunyip familiar, you can essentially stay at Bandos forever. General Graardor and his minions periodically drop Super Restores, so you won't even run out of prayer. This setup includes Dragon Claws as your special attack weapon, teleport tablets, and a spot reserved for crimson charms (which are a 100% drop from General Graardor).
Medium setup
Requirements:
- Bandos or Elite Armor
- Chaotic Rapier
- 67+ Summoning
- 70+ Herblore
With a Bunyip familiar, you shouldn't have too much trouble with food, but weaker armour means that you will be more vulnerable to getting hit by Graardor's minions. This setup includes a Dragon Dagger as your special attack weapon, teleport tablets, and a spot reserved for crimson charms (which are a 100% drop from General Graardor).
Welfare setup
Requirements:
- Welfare gear (Fighter Torso, Helm of Neitiznot, Dragon Platelegs, etc)
- Abyssal Whip (any color)
If you lack access to overloads and a Bunyip, General Graardor gets much tougher. In this case, you'll need a lot more food (and fish rather than saradomin brews) and you'll have to bank relatively frequently. Super attack and strength potions are a must. This setup includes a Dragon Dagger as your special attack weapon, teleport tablets, and a spot reserved for crimsons charms (which are a 100% drop from General Graardor).
Getting there
Step 1: Teleport to Godwars
Step 2: Kill 5 Bandos Minions
Step 3: Run North and Enter the Boss Chamber
Note: Once you have gained at least 5 kill count, it will remain on your account until you log out, even if you teleport away from the Godwars Dungeon. When you teleport back, the counter will display zero, but you will still be able to enter the boss room. As soon as you get another kill, it will automatically update. This makes getting your stuff back a lot easier if you happen to die.
Tips and tricks
Getting first hit
Due to his weak damage output and valuable drops, General Graardor is always crowded. It is a rare day indeed that there aren't 2-5 people in the boss room. In such a situation, getting the first hit on the boss can be vital in maximizing the kills you get. The screenshot contained below indicates the best place to stand. If you stand here, then Graardor will immediately be able to hit you when he spawns, but his melee minion will not, so if you have auto-retaliate on, you won't even have to attack the boss.
Dealing with competition
If you have the best gear:
- Focus on killing General Graardor
- Kill minions if you can, but they are a lesser priority
- Save your special attack energy and use it on kills where your main weapon is hitting poorly; hopefully, you'll still get the kill
If you have middling gear:
- If you have lots of special attack energy, go for General Graardor
- Otherwise, focus on killing the minions
- If you can, do 50% or more damage to one minion, then move on to the other and let another player finish off that minion
If you have the weakest gear:
- Pick a minion and focus all of your attention on it
- Ignore General Graardor and any minions that are being attacked by other players
- Consider leaving and coming back later; you are unlikely to make much money
Restoring special attack
The fierce competition around General Graardor and the boss's paltry hitpoints can mean that even superior gear is not enough to guarantee that you will get the drop. A lucky dragon dagger special could be enough to let even the most welfare of characters get the drop. To combat this, here is an advanced tactic for players with Dragon Claws to ensure that you can always use two special attacks per kill:
1. First, you need an alternate account. Open another instance of the Grinderscape client and type in whatever name you want to create a new account.
2. Have your alternate account teleport to the duel arena
3. After each kill, get out of combat and teleport to the duel arena
4. Duel your alternate account and accept the duel
5. Once the duel starts, forfeit immediately
6. Teleport back to the boss encampment and run to the boss room
If done correctly, you will get back to the boss room with plenty of time to spare before Graardor respawns, thus ensuring that you will have full special attack energy for every kill. With maxed gear, you can expect to get at least 90% of the kills even against players with chaotic rapiers.
Note: In order to enter a duel, you cannot have a familiar summoned, so you must dismiss your Bunyip. Consider bringing multiple pouches so you can re-summon it if the other players leave.
Note: Entering and leaving a duel will "restore" your stats, removing the effect of any potions (including overloads). You will have to drink another dose of potion for each kill. If you drink the overload dose right before teleporting back to Godwars, three "ticks" of damage will be overwritten by the teleport animation, so you'll only take 20 damage.
Drops
There are four unique drops to get in the Bandos Boss room. The Bandos Hilt is only dropped by General Graardor himself, while the other items can be dropped either by General Graardor or (more rarely) any of his minions. The following table displays all of the unique drops, along with their estimated values and drop rates:
