Vorkath
Vorkath is a level 725 blue dragon boss with very unique attacks that can harm you in several different ways. This boss was released on May 24 2019.
When fighting Vorkath with ranged, use Deflect Magic prayer and when fighting Vorkath with melee, use Deflect Melee prayer.
Getting there
You can get to Vorkath by using the teleport interface (which can be accessed by pressing CTRL + T on your keyboard or by clicking on the world map in-game).
This will teleport you outside of Vorkath's lair. This area has a bank chest which can be accessed in between trips.
Instance
Once you're here, you can walk north to enter Vorkath's lair. Climb over the ice chunks to start your instance. The prices to create an instance are as follows:
- Hardcore ironman: 25K
- Ironman: 250K
- Regular players: 10M
- Super donators: 7M
- Extreme donators: 5M
After every kill, a new instance must be created to respawn Vorkath. When dying in Vorkath's lair, your items will be dropped OUTSIDE the lair entrance.
Vorkath's Attack styles
Standard attacks
Vorkath uses seven different standard attack styles during the fight:
Attack style | Description | Visual |
---|---|---|
Melee attack | When in melee range, Vorkath will swipe the player with his wings to hit. | |
Ranged attack | Vorkath will launch a grey spiked ball at the player that can deal up to 35 damage. Protect from Missiles prayer will completely block this attack. | |
Magic attack | Vorkath will launch a small light blue ball at the player that can deal up to 30 damage. Protect from Magic prayer will completely block this attack. | |
Regular Dragonfire | Vorkath will breathe regular Dragonfire that can hit up to 20 damage if not protected. | |
Venom Dragonfire | Vorkath breathes green dragonfire that has a chance of inflicting the player with venom if not immune to venom. | |
Pink dragonfire | Vorkath breathes pink dragonfire that instantly disables all active prayers. | |
High-damage Dragonfire blast | Vorkath launches a high-damage Dragonfire blast at the player's current position that can deal up to 120 damage - this damage is reduced by 50% if the player stands next to the spot it lands. The damage can be completely dodged by moving away atleast two spots from where the attack is supposed to land. |
Special attacks
In addition to the several standard attacks, Vorkath will use one of his two special attacks every six standard attacks:
Attack style | Description | Visual |
---|---|---|
Acid Pool Quickfire Barrage | This special attack is the most deadly attack Vorkath has, which will kill the player in seconds if not properly dodged. Vorkath will spit acid all around his lair and will then rapidly fire 25 Dragonfire balls that deal up to 40 damage. These Dragonfire balls can not be blocked with any prayer, super antifire or shield. To avoid taking damage, the player will have to keep moving around - walking over the poison pools will heal Vorkath and make the player take poison damage that can’t be negated with antipoison potions. | |
Zombified Ice Dragonfire | Vorkath freezes the player with damageless ice Dragonfire and summons a zombified spawn. Until the zombified spawn is either killed or explodes, Vorkath is immune to all damage. It is recommended to use the Crumble Undead (level 39) magic spell to instantly kill the zombified spawn as it can hit up 60 damage. |
Gear & Inventory
Vorkath has high magic and melee defence, which means ranged is the best way to kill the boss. Both ranged and melee set-ups will be displayed below.
