Introduction
Defence is a major combat skill in Pvming. Defence is what allows you to wear better Armour and also better shields. Defence is a fast and easy combat skill to level up. This guide will show you how and where to level up Defence and also show you where to get some gear to help you get started.
Where to start
You can start at Edgeville. Run south until you find the shops. You will want to look for "Giles","Flynn" and "Bob".
Giles sells your basic Armour and the ring of recoil which is used for combat.
Flynn sells your basic gloves.
Bob sells you boots not including Rune and Dragon.

The best place to start training any combat skill at a low level is Rock crabs.
Here you will find all the Rock crabs you will ever need to start leveling up your combat stats. Start killing these until you feel you have a high enough Defence level to move on to killing other monsters such as Hill Giants or yaks in Edgeville dungeon. Slayer is also a good skill to train whilst also leveling up combat skills.
