The Chaos Elemental is one of the strongest monsters located in The Wilderness. It has a very nice drop table compared to other bosses and even has the highest drop rate for hard clue scrolls of any NPC, but since it is located in level 50 Wilderness it is not fought very often. The Chaos Elemental has 3 different types of attack, these are:

  • A powerful Magic attack that hits very high, very often.
  • A Ranged attack, which is not as powerful but still very deadly.
  • A Disarming attack, which causes your equipped weapon to go into your inventory. If you do not have any open space in your inventory, nothing will happen.

It is highly suggested to use a protect from magic prayer to counter its high hitting attacks.

No combat style deals kills the Chaos Elemental significantly faster than another. But melee is suggested since you can get decent equipment without having to risk a huge amount. Warning: it is located in a multi-combat zone in level 50 Wilderness and plenty of players check the area and will most likely kill you if you are spotted, so there is a high risk of dying to them. So be careful and only bring what you can afford to lose.

Getting There

You will need to bring a long a slashing weapon in order to get past the spider webs, (any scimitar can work).

On the southern wall of the Mage Bank you will see a lever, this lever will teleport you to the Wilderness. Follow this path from the lever and you will end up at the Chaos Elemental.

3 Item Set

On death, if you are not skulled, you will keep 3 items. So if you take 3 very good pieces of equipment, and use gear that does not matter if lost. You will speed up your kills at the Chaos Elemental. You do have to take extra care as to not miss click on a player, causing yourself to skull. An example of a 3 item set is shown below.

Drops

The Chaos Elemental has very good drops, considering how easy it is too kill. The only downside is the risks you will have to take. The notable drops of the Chaos Elemental include: Korasi's Sword, Flameburst Defender, Berserker Ring (i) and 25 noted Dragon Bones. There is also a very low chance of receiving a Chaos Elemental Pet.

Tips

  • After eating some food, try replacing the empty inventory space with the drops you get from the Chaos Elemental. That way you will not have to worry about the disarming attack that it does.
