The Black Knight Titan is a powerful boss and can be very dangerous to the unprepared. Initialy, the combat level of 1224 might frighten you, but luckily the Black Knight Titan is relatively weak. The Titan's melee attacks will be decreased by about 50% when prayer is enabled, so players should use Protection against Melee, this will bring the maximum melee hit from 74 all the way down to 37. The Black Knight Titan also has a low defense, making it a very quick fight. The Titan makes up for this by having attacks that will hit very frequently even through armour with great defence bonuses aswell as the ability to poison. Lastly, you should always be careful at the Black Knight Titan as you can be skulled while fighting him. This means if you die you will not keep any items if you were to die.

=Black Knight Titan=

The Black Knight Titan is a powerful boss. The boss has a combat level of 1224 and has 400 hitpoints. It has increased defences and can hit up to 74 with his melee attack, 65 with his magic attacks and 35 with his ranged attacks.

The Black Knight Titan uses both melee and range attacks, but never magic, so the obvious best choice in armour would be melee armour. Luckily, melee is also the most effective attack style against the Titan. Players with Torva armour equipped can take advantage of increased max hitpoints that each piece gives, which dramatically reduces the chance of getting killed. For many bosses, the goal is to maximize damage-per-second (dps), even at the expense of defense. Here, though, defense is much more important.  As the next section explains, accessing this boss effectively costs 110m per trip.  Therefore, the goal should be to maximize the number of kills per trip, rather than maximizing the speed of those kills. Very rarely you will come across crashers. But if you do come across one, try bringing armour that increases your attacks accuracy and damage to better the chance of getting the kill.
+
Even though he can hit up to 74 with melee, it is still recommended to use Protect from Magic or Deflect Magic prayers as the boss attacks with magic more often. Besides prayer, it is also recommended to use a divine spirit shield as this will lower the boss' max hits.

Besides his regular attacks, the Black Knight Titan also can give players the skulled icon. When skulled, all items will be lost upon death and will drop on the floor.

==Inventory setup==

The most effective way to maximize the time a player can last killing the Black Knight Titan is to bring the best Beast-of-Burden familiar available, preferably a Pack Yak. There is no point in going to the Black Knight Titan only to get 5-10 kills per trip as the cost of Blue Keys and Ferocious Rings will make the trip unprofitable. Another important fact to consider is that the Black Knight Titan has about a 1/10 chance of dropping un-noted Sharks. Getting one of these drops can dramatically increase the number of kills that are possible in one trip.

The Black Knight Titan has a very dangerous poison attack and will try to use this atleast once per kill. The poison damage starts at 17, so bringing poison protection is absolutely essential at this boss, preferably super antipoison as this can protect against poison for 2 kills if you can kill the Black Knight Titan quick enough. The Titan will usually say a taunt when he attempts to poison, but not always, so players should keep an eye on the chatbar below so that they can drink antipoison before taking poison damage. The Black Knight Titan will also periodically freeze players, but this can be safely ignored as there is no reason to move around while fighting.

The inventory setups listed below maximize the average kills you will get per trip by taking advantage of the shark drops. If you get very unlucky on the shark drops than you might have to finish the trip early. On average, though, these are the most efficient setups for getting kills:

==Inventory with Strong Gear==

With this setup, it is possible to last 72+ kills per trip. Each super antipoison will last for two kills, and overload dose will last for three kills (the overload timer will have run out by the third kill. However, your stats will still be boosted high enough to get a quick kill). The Dragon or Flameburst Defender is included in this inventory setup as well, to use either against crashers or near the end of a trip if there is lots of extra food.

==="Welfare" setup (full Black Elite, Elysian/Divine Spirit Shield, Chaotic Rapier)===

With this setup, it is possible to last for up to 32 kills per trip. Each antipoison dose will last for one kill, and each overload dose will last for two kills. It will take around 6 minutes to get two kills, so players should time their overloads so that they run out just after the Titan dies, but the next overload dose isn't drunk until just before he spawns (the Titan takes 120 seconds to respawn). This timing will be a bit tighter than with maxed gear, but it is still very much possible to get two kills per overload dose. The Dragon or Flameburst Defender is included in this inventory setup as well, to use either against crashers or near the end of a trip if there is lots of extra food.

=Tips and tricks=

==Dealing with annoying familiars==

It's a small boss room, so it's easy for your familiar to get in the way of you killing the Titan. However, if you run to the location shown and re-call it, it will appear inside the wall and get stuck, allowing you to access your Beast of Burden at your leisure without it interrupting your kills.

https://i.imgur.com/rEsn5B6.jpg

==Dealing with annoying skeletons==

One of the skeletons in this dungeon spawns in the boss room, so it will occasionally wander over and attack you. You can reduce the probability of it attacking by standing in the location shown between kills. This location also allows the Titan to attack you as soon as it spawns, so you get the most efficient kills. If you're low on food, you can also use Prayer soul split on the skeleton to recover a few hitpoints between kills.

https://i.imgur.com/HGema3I.jpg

==Dealing with other players==

The Black Knight Titan is one of the less-crowded bosses; however, crashing is always a possibility. Since it costs approximately 110m just to access the Titan, you don't really want to get there and have to leave immediately, so it's a good idea to check if someone is there first. Under game chat, a message will display whenever someone kills the Titan, so if no such message appears for at least 5 minutes, then it is almost certainly empty.

If someone is at Titan, it's considered good etiquette - not to mention good business - to private message them first and ask when they plan to leave. You might decide to try forcibly displacing them anyway, but at least you'll have the option of knowing when/if they will be gone.

==Minimizing prayer usage==

Part of maximizing your trip length is minimizing the number of prayer potions/super restores you have to bring. The easiest way to do this is to time the spawn so that you turn on prayer just as the Black Knight Titan respawns. You can pull this off by noting that the Black Knight Titan has a respawn timer of exactly 123 seconds, while items left on the floor will disappear after exactly 120 seconds. Therefore, as soon as his previous drop disappears (there should be bones left on the floor even if you picked up the drop), turn on your prayers again.

Between kills, you can also restore prayer at the Chaos Altar right outside the boss room.

=Drops=

The Black Knight Titan has extremely valuable drops that are also surprisingly common. Most of the money will come from Chaotic Rapier drops, but he also drops Chaotic Crossbows, Kiteshields, and Staves. The following table displays all of the unique drops, along with their estimated values and drop rates:

Black Knight Titan

The Black Knight Titan is a powerful boss. The boss has a combat level of 1224 and has 400 hitpoints. It has increased defences and can hit up to 74 with his melee attack, 65 with his magic attacks and 35 with his ranged attacks.

Getting there

You can get to the Black Knight Titan by using the teleport interface (which can be accessed by pressing CTRL + T on your keyboard or by clicking on the world map in-game).

This will teleport you in the dungeon where not only the Black Knight Titan is located, but also The Untouchable boss.
