Crimson Charms are essential ingredients used in the Summoning skill. They are the most desired charm as they are used to make the Talon beast pouch which grants the most Summoning experience per charm in the game.
The player can combine Crimson Charms and Pouches at a summoning obelisk to create summoning pouches. These pouches will allow the player to summon a follower, which may be able to help the player. Unfortunatley most of the followers are currently useless.

Obtaining Crimson Charms
Killing NPC's
Crimson Charms are not too rare, as there are plenty of NPC's that drop the charms frequently, and quite a few that drop them 100% of the time. These NPC's are often high leveled, such as Dark beasts, dragons, and a few bosses.
Box of Summoning Ingredients
Opening a Box of summoning ingredients will give the player a random amount of Crimson Charms, along with gold, green, and blue charms.
